IPv6

IPv6 networking represents a challenge. It is substantially different to IPv4. Forward planning is essential and we can help you with this.

Standard Internet connections are based on an addressing protocol called IPv4. The theoretical limit of this protocol has been reached. This issue has been foreseen for about the last 15 years and an enhanced underlying protocol called IPv6 has been developed.

At some stage over the next few years almost all computers, routers and associated equipment will need to support IPv6. For example Windows7 fully supports IPv6, but many other earlier operating systems do not.
